Adopt a Pig at the Schertz Library
Capital One Bank and the Schertz Public Library have teamed up to raise money for the new library building. Capital One Bank will provide 600 "Piggy Banks" to those patrons and supporters who want to donate their pennies (and addtional coins) to support the library. Participants will fill their "piggy banks" and bring them by the Schertz branch of Capital One Bank branch, which is located at 6019 FM 3009. Capital One Bank's associates will assist in counting coins and depositing the change into the Schertz Library Fund. "Piggy banks" will be available for adoption during regular library hours.
The program also will include a best pig name contest, recognition for the “pig families” in Schertz Tales and prizes. In addition to these activities, Capital One Bank will host five special story times with refreshments in the Children's room of the library. Story times are as follows:
Toddlers, Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 10:00 am -10:30
Preschoolers, Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 10:30 am -11:00 am
Babies & Me Thursday, Jan. 15 at 10:00 am - 10:20 am
Preschoolers, Thursday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 am - 11:00 am
