The Schertz Public Library App (SPL App) is a convenient, user-friendly way to stay connected to the library anytime, anywhere.
With the SPL App, you can:
- Search the catalog
- Manage your account — view checkouts and due dates, renew items, place hold requests, or cancel/suspend current holds
- Use self-checkout while at the library
- Access your digital library card — save your library card to your Apple or Google wallet, or access on the app anytime
- Find hours and directions
- Upload print jobs
- Explore staff-curated book lists and featured titles
- Stay connected the library — see what programs and events are going on, check out the latest library news, and get easy access to all our digital platforms (eBooks/eAudiobooks, streaming videos, research/learning databases, and more)

Search for “Schertz Public Library” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the app today.
How to log in to the app:
- After downloading the SPL app, select My Account from the main menu or tap on the hamburger icon (three solid horizontal lines) at the top right corner of the app.
- Select Sign In. If you have your physical library card, you can choose Scan Barcode (this will open up your camera app, so you can scan the back of the library card and have the number auto-filled), or you can enter the barcode number manually (with no spaces). After entering your barcode, tap Continue.
- Enter your pin/password. If you don't know your pin, please contact the library.
- Tap Login. If you logged in successfully, you will see your name appear on the My Account screen.
